I come from a big outdoor family. We’ve hiked Mt. Katahdin 4 times and camped in the surrounding areas including Baxter State Park, Seboomook Campground on Moosehead Lake and Lake Pemaquid. Between getting older, going off to college and getting a full time job, we’ve lost most of our free time to have those adventures. It’s a sad thing to admit, but it’s reality.
This summer I moved into an apartment with some friends, met a wonderful boy – and in doing so rediscovered my love for hiking and got to travel to some of the most gorgeous places in New England. Here is a selection of photos from this summer’s hiking excursions.
Brownfield, Maine: Burnt Meadow Mountain
North Conway, New Hampshire: Diana’s Baths & Wildcat Mountain
North Conway, New Hampshire: Moat Mountain
Weld, Maine: Tumbledown Mountain
