Role:
Lead Designer

Client:
Hurricane Island Outward Bound

The Opportunity:
How might we create a digital experience that captured the spirit of adventure while making it easier for prospective participants to discover programs and take the next step?

Bringing an Adventure Brand to Life:

Outward Bound gave me the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization whose purpose was inspiring people through outdoor adventure and experiential learning. Working closely with a talented cross-functional team, I helped redesign the website to better reflect the organization’s brand, improve the user experience, and support prospective participants throughout their decision-making journey.

Beyond the website, I was responsible for creating a wide range of digital and print marketing materials, with significant ownership over the visual direction and execution of each piece. The role allowed me to combine UX thinking, visual design, and storytelling to create experiences that felt authentic to the Outward Bound brand while communicating its mission in a clear and engaging way.

Although this represents an earlier chapter in my career, it reflects the foundation of my design approach: thoughtful problem solving, strong visual communication, and designing experiences that connect with people on both a functional and emotional level.
